How do I sell my story?
It couldn’t be easier. Fill in the Sell My Story form on the homepage, don’t forget to include a telephone number and a good time to call, and a member of our team will be in touch with you asap.

What happens after I contact you?
We’ll be in touch to have a general chat about your story. If we think we can help you, we’ll contact magazines and newspapers to see who can offer the most money for your exclusive story. Once we have a price, we’ll be back in touch with you to see if you’re happy with it. Once this is done, we’ll get some paper work over to you, which is legally binding and guarantees your payment. The next step is to talk to you in more detail about your story. Then one of our journalists will write it up, before calling you back and reading it through with you. Only after we have your approval will we send it to the publication.

Why should I sell my story through you
instead of directly through a magazine or newspaper?

The short answer is simply because we can ensure you are paid the most money. Publications want your story and they want it exclusively. Our contacts mean that we can shop around and find you the best deal. We’re also used to dealing with the press, so we can negotiate contracts on your behalf, allowing you to sell your story to more than one publication. We also know what your story could be worth and can ensure it’s not undersold. In a nutshell, publications work for themselves, and we work for you.

How much can I make from selling my story?
It totally depends on the type of story you want to sell. If your story is really strong, then the amount of money you could be offered can be life changing. Sunday tabloids will pay literally tens of thousands for stories that catch out cheating celebs, politicians or other household names. Not to mention the television coverage you’d be asked to do afterwards. Rebecca Loos, Abi Titmuss and Alicia Duvall have even managed to make whole careers out of it. A real life story that’s strong, but maybe not celeb related can still earn you good money, with some mags paying as much as £5000 for a really amazing exclusive true life. Plus, if your story is really sellable, often more than one publication may want it, earning you even more. Smaller real lives can still sell for around the £500 mark for a two page spread, while a single page would typically earn you about £200. You can also get paid if your story is used as part of a larger feature, and can often get a glam photoshoot thrown in as well. The simplest way to find out what your story is worth, is to get in touch with us and let us do the legwork.

When will I be paid after I sell my story?
We aim to get your money to you within thirty days of publication. You will usually be asked to sign a contract with the magazine or newspaper you decide to sell to, and this will have further details about payment.

Who will write my story?
An experienced journalist from our team will usually interview you and write your story up. They will also read it back to you before it is submitted to the publication.

Some publications will want to interview you and do the write-up themselves, if this is the case, we are still on hand to offer advice.

Can I sell my story anonymously?
The answer to this one is generally no as stories are worth much more if the storyteller is willing to be named and photographed. There are some exceptions to this rule however, for example if the case is very sensitive. We’ll be happy to advise you when we contact you.
